It’s been a popular question: will there be any live, in-person competitions at the end of the school year? Today, we are pleased to announce the answer to that question:
HSEL Nationals 2023 will be held in-person in Kansas City, Missouri for Valorant, Rocket League, and Brawlhalla over the weekend of May 19-20. The winner of each fall/spring regional Valorant and Rocket League tournament will be invited to attend, along with all Brawlhalla semifinalists. HSEL Nationals 2023 competitions for all other HSEL Major game titles (excluding League of Legends and and Rainbow 6: Siege on Consoles) will be held virtually the weekend of May 12-14. Valorant Game Connection Update
Valorant game connections will now be authenticated by signing in with Riot Games. All players will be required to re-connect their Valorant name prior to the match queue in Week 3 (February 22nd). Players can do so by signing in, clicking “Connect Games” in the left-hand sidebar, removing their old connection, and then adding a new one. Beginning this Thursday (February 16th), students will be prompted to make this change every time they access the dashboard. Any game connection updated for this reason will not be in violation of rule 2.7.2 (“Game Connections”)
Reminder: Match-day Support
As a reminder, if you need help in real-time, the best place to start is the “Help” bubble at the bottom right of every page. This bubble can help you search our Help Site and will also provide you with the options of either connecting to our live chat or submitting a support ticket. We recommend using the live chat for questions or issues that require an immediate response, or filing a ticket when disputing the outcome of a match or if asking questions that are not time-sensitive.
That’s all for this week! Good luck to your students in their matches!
